Milestones

Our first week of analytics, in honest numbers.

One week ago, x402-hosting.com went live. We promised to be transparent about this whole experiment, so here is the complete first-week report card, straight from our dashboard: 44 visitors, 129 pageviews, and an average 14 seconds on page. Not a viral explosion. A quiet, real start.

The full first week, August 25 – 31, exactly as the dashboard showed it.

The shape of the week

The visitor curve had a personality of its own. Tuesday, August 26 was the spike — roughly three times any other day — which happened to coincide with the attention around the 430 weekly installs milestone. Wednesday cooled off, Thursday bounced back to nearly Tuesday's levels, and the weekend drifted down gently, exactly as weekends should.

  • Aug 25: launch day — the counter starts at zero
  • Aug 26: the spike: our busiest day by far
  • Aug 27: the dip, and the first quiet reminder this is a marathon
  • Aug 28: recovery, close to the week's second-best day
  • Aug 29–30: a gentle weekend slide
  • Aug 31: the long tail, as the week closed out

What 129 pageviews actually tells us

Around three pageviews per visitor means people are not just landing on the front page and leaving. They are clicking into the guides, the pricing page, and the CLI reference before they go. Fourteen seconds on page is short in absolute terms, but for a site whose main call to action is a single copy-paste command, it is exactly the behavior we designed for: read the command, run the command, leave happy.

We measure like we host

We run Simple Analytics, a privacy-friendly tracker with no cookies and no personal data collection. That choice is not incidental. A product whose entire thesis is "your wallet, your project, no account required" would look a bit silly planting tracking cookies on its own homepage. The numbers are smaller than what invasive analytics might inflate them to be, but they are honest — and honesty is the product.

Week two goals

We are not going to pretend 44 visitors is the finish line. For week two, the goals are modest and concrete: beat 44 visitors, get the first organic search visitors landing on the guides, and — the metric we care about most — see more deployments created by people we did not personally talk to. Traffic is a vanity number; a wallet owning a live URL is the real one.

If you were one of the 44: thank you for an excellent first week. If you were not, there is still time to be early. One command gets you a URL that is genuinely yours:
